Grace and Mercy Christian National Church, Inc. ("GMCNC") reserves all of its rights under and does not grant any express or implied rights to you or any other user of our website at GMCNC.org ("Site") under any trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual property law.

The Site and all of the text, graphics, pictures, audio content, video content, and all other materials and content on the Site are protected by copyright and are the property of GMCNC. You may view or access content on the Site for your own personal use. Any other use of Site content without the express written consent of GMCNC is strictly prohibited.

GMCNC may, at any time, alter any features, functions or content (including the Terms and Privacy Policy) on the Site without prior notice.

Disclaimer of Warranties

All materials and other content of the Site or accessible from the Site are provided on an "as is" basis. GMCNC expressly disclaims any express or implied warranties or conditions of any kind, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or use, title or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

By using the Site you agree that GMCNC and GMCNC’s officers, agents, and members shall not be liable to you for any damage of any kind arising from or related to the use of the Site or of any website for which a link is provided on the Site.

Applicable Law

Use of the Site and any claim or dispute arising from or related to such use is governed by the laws of the United States of America, the State of New York and the City of New York, without regard to any rule or principle regarding conflicts of laws. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue of any such claim or dispute shall be in the state and federal courts for New York, County of Kings.

Privacy Policy

Summary

GMCNC is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. The personal information you share with GMCNC will be used to support the administration and management of ministries, delivery of services and maintaining programs offered by GMCNC. We protect the personal information and adhere to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy.

Submissions

A “Submission” is any comment, picture, or other item or information submitted or posted to, on, or through the Site. By making a Submission you are agreeing that that the Submission complies with these Terms and that GMCNC can rely on your agreement. You are also agreeing that if GMCNC has any legal liability because your Submission didn’t comply with the Terms, you will be financially and legally responsible to the Church for all the costs and expenses that result. Submissions must not be defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful or inappropriate. They must not violate or infringe upon intellectual property rights or other rights.

Why Does GMCNC Gather Personal Information?

Personal information is any information that identifies you as an individual. GMCNC collects personal information for a variety of purposes, such as: church Membership registration and listings; church directories; volunteer and leadership development; program and service registration, administration and delivery; counseling and prayer support; and church administration (tithing, offerings, payments owing, etc.). You may transmit such personal information via any electronic mail, phone, fax or in-person interaction with GMCNC.

How Does GMCNC ensure privacy protections?

We collect, use and disclose personal information only for the purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate for the administration and management of a church organization. Access to your personal information is on a “need to know” basis. We inform our church personnel and volunteers of the importance of protecting your personal information. We will also advise all church volunteers that personal information obtained during their service cannot be used for any purposes other than authorized church ministry. We will maintain adequate physical, procedural and electronic security with respect to offices and information storage facilities so as to protect personal information against such risks as unauthorized access, use, disclosure or destruction. GMCNC will not divulge your personal information, except as required by law.

Tithing and Offering Information

Access to information regarding your tithes and offerings to GMCNC is restricted to: GMCNC volunteers who collect and count the offerings; GMCNC Secretary for processing your income tax receipts; the Finance Representative who handles the records; and the Treasurer who signs the offering tax receipts. You have the right to request access to information about your tithes and offerings. However, you do not have the right to access tithing/offering information to other identifiable GMCNC members without their written consent. You may access aggregate tithing/offering information not linked to an identifiable member. All requests for access must be submitted to GMCNC office and we will endeavour to respond to your access request as soon as possible.

Site Privacy

Log Files

The Site logs your IP address, browser type, hits on particular pages, and other general traffic information. This information is not linked to personally identifiable information and you remain anonymous.

Cookies

A "cookie" is a file that is sent from a web server to your web browser and placed on your computer. When you initially visit the Site we create a cookie for your computer and then use it to track your clicks as you go through the site. There is no personal information stored within the cookie itself and we do not use cookies to retrieve personal information about you or from your computer. While your activity may be tracked while you are at the Site, we do not use cookies to track your activity before or after you leave the site.

Site Content Containing Personally Identifying Information

We will carefully review the purpose and need before posting personal information on the Site. If personal information is posted, we will limit the amount of personal information to that which is necessary.

Children's Privacy

GMCNC will not knowingly collect, use, or distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information from any child under 13 years old without verifiable parental consent and not knowingly allow any child under 13 years old to publicly post or distribute personally identifiable information without verifiable parental consent. Children 12 and under do not have our permission to make any Submission without verifiable parental consent.

Prayer Requests

We encourage our members to share their prayer requests so that we as a church may pray together. We recognize some of the requests are sensitive and very personal. We will ensure that the personal information contained in our prayer request list be limited only to the amount necessary.
